Creating a Seamless Experience Across Membership, Events, and Learning

Associations rely on a variety of technology platforms to serve their members. An Association Management System (AMS), an event management platform, and a learning management system each play an important role, but they deliver the most value when they work together.

That’s why we’re excited to spotlight our work with the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA).

SDPA uses YourMembership as its AMS, Cvent for event management, and Elevate for online learning. Their goal was simple: eliminate manual processes and ensure important member data stays connected across all three platforms.

The Challenge

When systems operate independently, staff often spend hours exporting spreadsheets, importing data, and updating member records by hand. Those repetitive tasks take time away from serving members and increase the risk of inconsistent data.

SDPA wanted to automate the movement of information between its technology platforms. Specifically, the organization needed event registration data and learning completion records to flow directly into YourMembership without manual intervention.

The Solution

AMS Geek is building two automated integrations that connect SDPA’s technology ecosystem.

Event Registration Writeback

Registration data entered in Cvent automatically synchronizes with YourMembership. The integration updates member records, creates new records when appropriate, and helps prevent duplicate data. Staff no longer need to perform manual imports after every event, and member information stays current across both platforms.

Learning Completion Writeback

Course completion data from Elevate also synchronizes with YourMembership. As members complete educational activities, their learning records update automatically in the AMS. This process reduces administrative work and helps ensure education records remain accurate and up to date.
