Keeping Integrations Running Through Technology Changes for IABD

Technology evolves. Your integrations should evolve with it.

When the International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) updated its technology ecosystem, they didn’t want to lose the automation they already depended on between their AMS and Cvent. Instead, they partnered with AMS Geek to update their existing integration while continuing to rely on Data Sangria to keep critical data moving between systems.

The Challenge

Organizations don’t stand still. New platforms are adopted, legacy systems are replaced, and business needs continue to grow.

For IABD, that meant updating an existing integration to support Neon CRM while maintaining the automated data synchronization that had become an essential part of their event management process. They also wanted to expand the integration by capturing donation activity processed through Cvent.

The Data Sangria Difference

While AMS Geek developed a custom Single Sign-On experience between Neon CRM and Cvent, Data Sangria powers the ongoing synchronization that keeps information flowing between the two systems.

Using Data Sangria, the solution automatically:

  • Writes Cvent registrations back to Neon CRM
  • Updates constituent information when changes occur
  • Creates new constituent records when needed
  • Creates or updates event participation records
  • Processes registration modifications, substitutions, and cancellations
  • Writes donation activity from Cvent into Neon CRM

Because the integration leverages Cvent webhooks, updates are delivered in near real time, helping staff work with current, accurate information without manual imports or exports.

Built for Change

One of the biggest advantages of an integration platform is flexibility.

As organizations add new systems or replace existing ones, the integration layer can evolve without requiring teams to rebuild every workflow from scratch.

That’s exactly what happened for IABD. Rather than abandoning an existing integration, they were able to adapt it for a new AMS while preserving the automated processes their staff already relied on.

Integration Is an Ongoing Strategy

An integration shouldn’t be treated as a one-time project.

As your association’s technology ecosystem grows, your integrations should continue growing with it. Whether you’re implementing a new AMS, introducing an event platform, or connecting multiple best-of-breed systems, Data Sangria helps keep information synchronized so your staff can focus on serving members instead of managing data.

Technology changes. Data shouldn’t get left behind.
