iPaaS; What is it?

When we decided to build Data Sangria, an iPaaS that will focus primarily on more quickly, easily and affordably connecting systems for associations, we looked at the commercial market for great platforms that exist and decided that building versus leasing someone else’s platform gave us the control we needed to make sure our customers were never unsupported.  So build, we did!

But what does iPaaS mean?  What does it stand for in our world of acronyms?

Let’s look at a global leader in technology consulting to see what they say.

Gartner.com defines iPaaS like this: “Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) is a suite of cloud services enabling development, execution and governance of integration flows connecting any combination of on premises and cloud-based processes, services, applications and data within individual or across multiple organizations”.

Our take on that is, let’s build an integration hub with the API (Application Programming Interface) libraries for lots of products used in OUR market, into a platform that is easy to deploy and even easier for customers to log in to, see that their data is syncing, expand or contract the scope of their integration, and lets sell is for a simple, low fixed cost.

Check out our recipes (those are our integrations) and tell us how we can help you connect your systems better, faster, and cheaper than ever before.
